WELCOME TO
THE 15TH ANNUAL ELMER HOHL RINGER CLASSIC
MAY 24 & 25, 2003
Dear Pitcher
Thank you for entering this years Ringer Classic. This year we have 120+ participants. As always this tournament is officially sanctioned by Horseshoe Ontario under sanction # 25. Below you will find the date and time you are scheduled to play. Please check in one hour before your game time. You will be assigned a court at that time. All entry fees are returned to their specific class pool plus the Khaki Tournament Fund will be adding approximately $2000.00 to the prize money pool.
There will be an A class double invitational fun tournament on Friday May 23rd starting at 7pm. We encourage you to come out and watch and enjoy the fun. Each team will consist of a 40 ft player + a 30 ft player. Two World Champions will be present --Sylvianne Moisan and Drew Becker. Most of the other players are either state/provincial champs or Canadian champs. Should be a blast!
There will be a banquet dinner Saturday evening in the main hall. Please be
sure to get your tickets before 1 pm from Jean Markle at the games related table.
This always proves to be a good meal and lots of fun so dont miss out.
There will be breakfast available from 7am to 9am both Saturday and Sunday as
well as fast food menu from 11am to 2:30pm. If you have reserved a campsite
please check in at the club before you set up.
Membership cards WILL BE CHECKED. Scorekeepers will be needed ($2.00
per game) for all shifts and we ask you to register with Jean Markle at the
games related table. Also we need judges for each shift, if interested register
with Jean.
Please make sure YOUR NAME IS ON BACK OF YOUR SHIRT, as failure to do
so will result in a $5.00 assessment, which will go into the Khaki Tournament
Fund. This means printed on your shirt not masking tape, cardboard etc. This
tournament will be governed by the rules of Championship play.
Your round robin card will indicate point/shoe games. If you are tied at the
end of a game, each player will be awarded one half point. If you are tied for
FIRST place in your division, please come to the tournament desk
immediately and you will be assigned a court for play-off game(s). Do not leave
your courts until your group is completely finished. Although alcohol beverages
will be available at the club, there will be no alcoholic beverages allowed
into the pitching area. Shovels and watering cans will be available and we ask
that each player maintains the courts on which he or she pitched. Your co-operation
in keeping this tournament running smoothly is much needed and greatly appreciated.
Good pitching to you all and may there be many four dead. Please contact Wayne Becker (519) 886-6670 if you have any questions.
